Stayed for the week - could easily have stopped longer. Brough and Church Brough is a super friendly village with lovely walks on the doors step - plus Castle, with a well stocked shop. Fantastic places to visit nearby by car - Barnard Castle 25minutes, Keswick only 50 minutes and Middleton in Teeside and area well worth a visit. Would highly recommend staying at Cabinteely.

The garden was enclosed as stated but my dog would have been able to get through the 5 bar gate so Steve the caretaker came over and put wire mesh across it to prevent her getting out, which we really appreciated as it gave us peace of mind, the heater in the lounge wasn’t working so he brought over additional wood and coal for the stove, this was within a few hours of us arriving, so cannot fault the service provided. The cottage was well equipped, if I’m being picky the only items missing - full length mirror and table and chairs for the garden. We would recommend this cottage to anybody visiting the area.

Plenty of walks on the door step as well as two pubs close by ... unfortunately went home evening before departure day due to toilet flush broke left message and someone came to fix the problem wished we had stayed ☹️

Fresh and clean with excellent facilities, tastefully presented. Village pubs were excellent for food and beer and good service. A car is probably essential but travelling the area provides fantastic views and an excellent road network.

The house was fantastic, so clean, everything you need and more was in the house, very comfortable beautiful layout, for anyone looking a quiet retreat this is it. There is no view from the house for anyone looking scenery, all the back windows of the house is frosted glass but we never really noticed this as it was so relaxing inside, heavenly, highly recommended, loved it.

Westwood barn was beautiful everything you needed, very clean and comfortable really enjoyed it.
The weather wasn't good but we don't have any control over that, but the cottage had loads of games to play which we did.

Supplier Spotlight 

This month our supplier spotlight is on Steve from Aqua Clean based in Cumbria. 

Aqua Clean have been a supplier with us for just under 3 years and has continued to provide an excellent level of service to our owners in their area. Working in a challenging rural area Steve has managed to maintain an amazing 100% KPI score over the last 6 months. 

Sykes have recently supported Steve to expand his service offering by providing advice on a new pricing structure for his fully managed property services and are helping Steve roll this out to his existing owners.
